March Holiday Assignment

I went on facebook and some said they cannot access the E-blaze holiday homework so im posting this for you all.

March Holiday Homework
Sec 1 to 4 Express and Sec 5

Instructions:
- write on one of the following topics.At the head of your composition,write the number of the topic you have chosen
-For sec 1 and 2 students, you are advised to write between 250-300 words
-For sec 3,4 and 5 students, you are advised to write between 350-500 words
-Hand in your HARD COPIES to your respective english language teachers on 22 March

Topics:-
1.What technological invention(s) would most improve life in your community?
2.The mad scientist.
3.What positive steps can you or I start to take to tackle climate change?
4.The day the computer started misbehaving.
5."Scince never solves a problem without creating ten more"( George Bernard Shaw)
6.An adventure in space.
7.What is knowledge?Who owns it?How can it best be taught or transmitted?
8.A 'eureka' moment
9.Is your generation wiser than your grandparents' generation?
10.Welcome to my Utopia!

Note: The above are titles from the 2010 Commonwealth Essay Competition and the better entries will be considered for this competition.

For those who doesn't know , Utopia is -an imaginary perfect world
And im sorry i cant find th meaning of eureka

Some class rules.

1) Pupils are to maintain at their own seat when there are no teachers around, even during lesson. Strictly no shouting across the classroom.

2) Lower down your volumes in class. Speak softly, be considerate.

3) No vulgarities / swear / curse / vulgar hand signal is allowed in class. If caught, you've to pay 50cent to the chairman / vice chairman. The money will go into the class fund. Don't even try! If the class chair person / vice chair asked you to give 50 cents to him / her, please don't find excuses. You know it yourself whether you did say or not.

4) No usage of handphone in class. If found, you have to pay 50cent to the class chair person. Handphones can only be used in the canteen.

5) Do the right things at the right time.

6) Pupils are to be attentive during all lesson and respect all teachers.

7) Greet all teachers and not let them wait.

8) Before and after lessons / school, pick up all litter in the class. Don't ignore them when you spot any. Keeping the class clean is our responsibility.

9) Push in all chairs and make sure everything is in order after school / before recess.

10) Check your attire and make sure they are neat and tidy at all times.

11) No passing of notes across the class.

12) No changing of seats! Sit where you are supposed to.

Lastly, we hope all of you will follow the rules, show everyone that 2-5 is a wonderful class that follows instructions (:

3) Please post the appropriate things in the class blog. Take note of what you're posting as this is not your personal blog!

4) Pupils should give each other encouragements, useful informations and list down the homeworks for the day etc in this class blog.
